Perhaps a silly question but is it just your app that is disappearing or is
it the whole system going down and auto-restarting? I ask because I just
went through the same thing. A user was reporting that my app was
mysteriously quitting every few hours. I had nothing in the log that
explained it other than a startup notice. Turned out he had a problem with
his system and it was re-booting on its own. Nothing to do with my app at
all. A re-started system looks the same as a still-running system (as do
most apps) whereas my app anounces it's been re-started so my app was
catching all of the attention. Just a thought.
