They can, but good product positioning is really hard. For small firms it
takes a lot of legwork that may not even pay off in the end. And you get a
lot more gawkers that look at the product, tying up your server resources,
etc. that never actually buy anything in the end. At least the large
companies know that for every 1000 or more gawkers there is one or two
corporate accounts that more than make up for it. It is really hard for
small firms to get those big fish to bite.
