Ah, if only more developers saw things this way. Over the past decade and a
half, if I had a dollar for every time I saw crap code spewed out by some
code monkey trying to use something brand new that he doesn't fully
understand in order to improve his resume, I'd be a rich man. Whether it is
Java, .NET, or the next dance craze that sweeps Nerd City, the pattern is
always the same as the lemmings swarm to the next cliff*. Maybe we should
start calling this kind of code Lemming Droppings.

(*For the sake of accuracy I probably ought to point out that I have recently
read that lemmings don't actually hurl themselves off cliffs en masse after
all.)
