Re: BDNradio delphi channel

<snip excellent post>

What an excellent and well reasoned post. If Nick was still running his
ng post of the week award, this would surely be the leading contender.

I am getting so sick of people coming in here with the sole intention
of whinging about Delphi shortcomings. If they don't like Delphi, then
why are they hanging out here? If they do like it, but feel that it's
lost some of it's shine, then offer something more constructive than
"Delphi sucks", so others can help to restore it to the posters
percieved view of its former glory. And the ones that claim "But I only
say Delphi sucks because I'm a hard-core Delphi fan, and want to help
improve it" are deluding themselves. Unless they offer specifics as to
how it "sucks", how can such an un-informative and un-constructive
whinge possibly do anything to help?

It never ceases to amaze me that programmers would ever tell another
programmer that something "doesn't work" without elaborating as to what
doesn't work, or provide more background information. Surely they must
understand how frustrating it is to diagnose a bug with little or no
meaningful information.

Sorry for the rant folks, but this place has become so negative lately.
So I would now like to extend an offer to all those out there who are
really interested in helping improve Delphi's state of health. If you
have a genuine issue and have clear steps to reproduce it, but for some
reason cannot gain access to QualityCentral, send the information to me
and I'll be more than happy to do so on your behalf.

So now you really have no excuse. If you do have a genuine interest in
making Delphi bigger, stronger, higher, faster, but for some reason
have a problem with QC, you now have another avenue to allow your issue
to be reported via an official channel.

Note: There may be delays in this communication channel due to
unforeseen events such as the upcoming Tri-Nations Rugby series. :-)
