I remember that period of time clearly, but I think it may have been a year
or two longer than the 3-4.

What I don't remember is anyone from Borland being in the MS.vb newsgroups.
There could have been, but I really don't remember that and I think I would
have.

I did see a number of vocal trolls, and all they did was pixx folks off.
There was nearly no useful information in their posts, but lots of useless
noise. Then there was the loud noise of the responses. It left a very
negative impression on everyone.

I don't recommend it.

Someone who participates in both fora can do a good job of answering
questions and educating folks. Evangelism in the wrong context isn't a
GoodThing.
