Why would this be different from what we have now? - The product ships with Source.
- Anyone can modify it and submit bugs and fixes to QC regarding it.
- Improvements made by external Borland developers (like Fast-code
Project) are now part of the RTL.
The difference is that we can then openly share our enhancements. Right now I have to verify that a user has source before I can share one of the source code files for dbExpressPlus. I laugh every time someone says we can already change the code. Sure, one person can change their copy and you can't share the code with anyone. I have this killer PageControl that I can't share with the world. Very disappointing. .
