I know you don't care about .NET. But since there are NO other facts
known about the entire product (except its code name), you can only be
guessing, and like I said, I don't think you are guessing very well.
This silly talk about "Borland is neglecting Win32" exists since Borland
decided to make D8 a .NET only release, but is not based on any actual
facts. In fact, the actual facts clearly contradict this.
Delphi 2005 has gotten a lot of new language features in the Win32
compiler, compared to D7. More new language features than D7 had, and
when D7 came out, no one was claiming that Delphi was neglecting Win32.
But when Kylix came out, people were claiming Borland was leaving the
Win32 platform for Linux. Now people are claiming the same again, but for
..NET. But facts actually tell a different story.
