Re: Is Interbase still thriving?

In fact, I was drawn to SQL Server, after the emergence of
..NET. In the past, I was using MS products because, it is
the defacto standard. However, for the first time, I went for
Microsoft products because of the impressive technologies that
..NET brought with it. Well, we all know that Borland was
behind .NET. One of (if not the Architect)
the Archtect of C# was also responsible for Delphi. It is
no wonder, the striking resemblance of C# to Delphi. Any Delphi
programmer will pick up C# in no time.

Borland is a company of Microsoft, it has not been published
yet. Do not be surprised about quality products coming out
of Redmond, Borland is coorpeting (not competing, they cant
, since they do not have the resources) with the "almighty"
Gate. Microsoft has invested heavily in Borland to shut
them up. Recall that Microsoft invested $125 Million dollars
in Borland, when the former took all their engineers! There
after, Microsoft started to improve on its product.

Recall that people were thinking about some companies
contemplating buying Borland. They can't; unless those
companies want to buy Microsoft as well!
