Re: Just uninstalled Delphi 2005 Enterprise

Hello André

we just switched our projects to D2005 (after 2 years D7). With D2005 and SP3 + unoffical patches everything work real nicely

We tested a lot before the switch and some issues are important

a) remove all "together references" (I am sure you did)

b) be sure that you do have proper search pathes (not that dll/bpls are found in strange areas).

c) For .NET never work with less than 1GByte RAM (gets real unstable)

d) For Win32 use the Config Manager Tool (can be found on internet) to minimize the loaded packages

e) minimize the ThirdParty packages (bugs in the packages can easily destabilize the whole D2005)

f) and we had to fix certain areas in the Borland VCL code (about 8 Quality Central issues). We changed in parallel from BDE to ADO and found some issues not specific to D2005 [they existed already in D7].

regards

Günther
