I don't see this as a bad thing. To me, it sort of says Developers are important, but don't exist in a vacuum.
This sounds much like Visual Studio Team System with the "5 pillars".
It just sounds like Borland is trying to compete with Visual Studio Team System.
I wonder who came up with the concept first, Microsoft of Borland?
On a side note: on Microsoft's website there's a presentation video on Visual Studio Team System. At one point in the video they show how it is completely integrated with Borland's CalibarRM. The audience applauded. I snickered.
The reason why I snickered is because, I think, by integrating Visual Studio Team System with CaliberRM I think Microsoft is actually /undermining/ CaliberRM, not supporting it.
So what is going on? Is Borland attempting to compete with Microsoft on Visual Studio Team System? Or are they trying to work together with Microsoft on it?
Does Borland think it will succeed in competing with Microsoft? I doubt it.
