Hi Dave,
Thanx for the info but that seems not to be the case
The firewall was the first thing i checked, even when the firewall is
disabled the problem still exists.
The problem is that i can reach other news servers on port 119 (Used
news.microsoft.com as a reference), but not newsgroups.borland.com.
To make sure it's not the mailreader i use i also checked Outlook express,
Here i get the same results news.microsoft.com works but
newsgroups.borland.com doesn't. The only reason i can think of is that
somewhere my ip gets blocked by borland for misbehaving, although i havn't
got a clue why.
The only reason i can think of is that i use to download all new messages
from the newsgroups.borland server every 10 minutes, and that that is the
reason i get blocked, although the guidelines don't specify a minimum time
between message downloads,
best regards,
Mario van Zeist.
