Avoiding Booleans & Danny Thorpe

Now is that "avoiding booleans" and "avoiding Danny Thorpe" or is it "avoiding booleans" and "Danny Thorpe"? ;-) Answer: It's the latter.

An interesting article about avoiding booleans was posted at Coding Horror.
http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/archives/000430.html

It includes a link to Brad Abrams @ MS blog where he quotes from .NET Framework Standard Library Annotated Reference books. The one he quotes is "Danny Thorpe", who I assume is the originator of the idea to avoid booleans. Danny gives his examples in C#.

Two questions:
1. Is Danny Thorpe the Danny of Borland fame? Did he contribute to these books?
2. What's with the C# examples? :-p
