Personally, I don't understand why anyone would question his use of C# examples when discussing a .NET book. It's the most popular language for .NET. The idea that he HAS to use Delphi for coding examples when discussing a .NET reference book is silly.
Yes, because there is obviously an overabundance of sample .NET code in Object Pascal. I am overdosing on the numerous Pascal examples in the ..NET SDK documentation, plethora of examples in Delphi's help, and mountains of Delphi .NET books. The last thing we need to see is any hint that Delphi is capable of .NET development. The development community is suffering under a drought of C# .NET code.
but to make things like this into an issue, as if there has been some kind of treason or betrayal is not the best use of our time, in my humble opinion. We are software developers, and should not act like we are members of some religion looking for possible heresy.
There is a difference between "treason, betrayal, heresy" and missed opportunity. On which side do you think I fall?
Development is not a religion, so why do you treat it like one? I open my yellow pages phone book, look under churches, and I see a wide variety religions advertised. Your phone book seems to have one, C#, and frowns on the notion of others, Delphi. Why is the inclusion of Delphi.NET code in a .NET reference so objectionable?
