Right, if you eliminate all of the features which SourceSafe lacks
then StarTeam will seem much simpler. But do you really want to give up
defect tracking? Audits? Actual data stability?
Still, I would contest your assertion that the VS integration is "more
seamless." Does VS integrate local history with versioned history? Can
you trace a changed line of code to the feature request which caused it?

This is a feature? Sounds like a defect to me. At least they allow you
to turn it off....

Depends which SKU you get, and which version of Delphi you own. If you
own Delphi Enterprise or Architect, StarTeam standard is free. The
*most* it costs to use StarTeam is just north of $2000 per client, for
Enterprise Advantage, IIRC. So it depends what you buy.
