Liz,
Just going through it and skimming and making notes, here are some that jump
out (oh, and ignore anything that you may cover later in the document, I'm
sorta commenting as I skim):
1. Use Borland style coding conventions for your code samples. Yes,
everyone has their own style but for any type of tutorial I think it's
always best to stick as true to the environment you are working in's native
style. It also makes it feel more "official".
2. Try and sneak the "proper names" of things into the verbiage. For
example it's pretty standard to call "if..then..else" a flow control
structure so in the description perhaps mentioning how it affects the flow
of your program. That'll help the reader later when they read something a
bit more technical and it refers to flow structures.
3. You talk about coding conventions and naming conventions but don't really
offer any advice on what to do. Granted everyone should decide for
themselves (and will) but beginners usually want someone to tell them what
to do and then they'll evolve their own style. Again, I'd stick with
Borland style because it's a great common base and when I query most Delphi
software houses that's more often than not the standard they pick.
Oops, real work calls. So far it's great besides the few nitpicks (will
look more later, found a few typos).
