I'd like to thank everyone who responded. I've been convinced to give it a try under XP-Home - and upgrade to XP-Pro only if that doesn't work out
I noticed that the Borland "Feature Matrix" for Delphi 2006 ( http://www.borland.com/resources/en/pdf/products/delphi/bds2006_feature_matrix.pdf indicates that Cassini is included in the package.
Yes it's included. Located in the Demos subfolder. I have to run a batch-file from there, to build the server exe-file. When I run it, the Server dialog pop up, ready to go. Haven't tested it further though.
I'm also using XP-home without any problems. /ia .
