I have somewhere around 500-800 third-party components installed (total
count), including five or six popular mega-component-pack packages
(developer express, JVCL) and I haven't seen more than a 1-2 second
delay in switching tabs, and most times tab switching is very fast.

However I do notice that when I double click on a form in the project
manager, it can take 5-6 seconds to open my more complicated units. It
shows the designer surface, then 3-4 seconds pass, then it switches to
the code view, then 2-3 more seconds pass before I can edit, or switch
back to the designer using the tabs.
