Only poor thing is that we have to wait until june before we get it. Is
there no possibility to accelerate that process. I want the book now :)
I do, too. Copy edit is running ahead of schedule, and it's currently
not impossible that the book will be in stores before June - but
taking a book from Word .doc files to camera-ready PDF-s and then to
bound books is a complex process, involving several different
specialists, and there is absolutely no guarantee that finishing one
stage early will coincide with availability of the next set of
resources.
How about making it a online book also.. pdf format or something.
I haven't talked to the publishers about that, yet. They have been
selling some ebooks separately, others bundled with the hardcopy.
(Possible, too, that some aren't sold as eboooks at all.) I think
that's one of the decisions that they ask me what I think is best, but
they make the actual decision.
