Google Talk API

Hello:

Does anyone know if is there a Google Talk API or something like that?
I'm not trying to build a IM client using the Jabber protocol or using
the google protocol, I just want a way to communicate with the Google
Talk CLIENT, in a way that lets me parse/read IM chat messages.
