What?? How do you know this? Do you know why he left? Where did he go?

OK, I went over to the RO newsgroups and found the relevant threads, from
back in February. It looks like he did indeed leave RemObjects, though he
still holds shares in the company. I guess he's doing D7 work, though it
wasn't clear if he has returned to regular 9-5 employment working for
someone else, or is working for that someone else in a remote consulting
role. I wish he and I were still on speaking terms, I'd love to know why he
did this, but there is simply no way to tell from the RO newsgroups, and I
still respect him too much to speculate as to why he did this.

This is just so strange to hear, especially that he left RO to do D7 work,
meaning that he has decided to do something that has very little to do with
..NET, for at least a few months if not longer. He was so excited about .NET
when I knew him that I even nicknamed him Alessandro.NET. (Meanwhile I am
now doing D6 and C# work, and am very likely to move into C# completely over
the next two or three years as I convert Delphi code to C#. Ironic.)

Oh well. I guess I am rambling.
