I call it constructive criticism. Do you disagree that Borland has a

And yes they've been doing it since they started releasing Windows
IDEs/Development tools.

And by botch I don't mean things like "OMG the cursor is flickering"
or "The title bar has the wrong text in it". I'm speaking incorrect
implementation of Operator new (C++), memory leaks, unstable IDEs,
etc. You know, things that really affect your work [directly].

I'd agree Borland has a history of botching releases - C++ Builder,
Kylix and finally Delphi (BDS 2005).

If I have to choose C++ Builder compared to VS Express, I'd choose VS
Express even though I don't get any components let alone MFC... why?
Because third party free C++ libraries support VC Express but ignore
C++ Builder.

C++ Builder became almost usable at V6. That took a while. I've tried
using it with VCL but it just doesn't feel right. I stick to Delphi
instead of C++ Builder for VCL.

BDS 2006 with C++ is just a paint job. Nothing has changed. It STILL
generates code 50% slower than the competition!

Kylix became usable around V3. Then Borland stopped working on it. Gee
thanks!

Delphi started showing the rot in BDS 2005. I skipped V8 as I didn't
need .NET. BDS 2005 never worked properly. BDS 2006 update 2 is better
but still doesn't feel as good as Delphi 7 in some areas. Oh sure it
has some nicer features but the IDE still feels a bit sluggish.

I want a Delphi without all the bloat. I want a Personal version again
($99). No databases. Some internet stuff (XMLDocument!). Not a bloated
monster with weaker help and support for .NET that I'm still not
convinced about.

But it's just a dream.

Finally VS C# is .NET V2.0 whereas BDS 2006 is .NET V1.1
