You should try a backuip software. It helps, really. Or go the VM way. If my hard drive crash, I am back into business in about one hour. And from that, 45 minutes is for driving to a computer shop to buy a new machine - if all my computer are stop working - worst case. Normally, I need 5 minutes: copy the latest backup from the external USB hd drive to the local hd of the computer and start the VM.
Btw, I don't have to search or download all the other tools I need, no software activation or key hunting, no head scratching where I stored the 70 terabyte of glyFX stuff...
