Up until now my development has been private (custom) apps. I amuse
considering starting a new commercial software startup... and yes I may
Delphi for development. Part of me says go with other tools, but gosh I
like the speed of app development in Delphi. Anyone know of any good
blogs/forums for discussing the tribulations of developing commercial
software (other than joelonsoftware)?
I'm not through it yet, but MicroISV is a good read so far:

I am looking for a good licensing component. Recommendations?
I was most likely going to roll my own unless something compelling comes
along; but I won't know until I investigate further. But some anti-cracking
solutions can help here too.
Also, any anti-cracking suggestions?
I agree with Peter, but I think it's also important to stop the low-end
hackers and to provide a gentle reminder to honest people to register/pay.
I was actually doing a bit of reading today on this very issue; it's
certainly interesting to learn about various hacking techniques. FWIW, I
think ExeCryptor is my leading candidate.
A good place to start:

The last comment is particularly interesting:

I also think a hands-on exploration into using some of the tools that
hackers use can be a very educational thing...but I won't post any direct
links here for that purpose.
