Well, that's not my experience. Being too specialised means you may be a sheep with no grass to eat (this metaphor is getting stretched very thin <g>).
It takes a while to be fluent in any language.
About a week, unless it's a complete change of paradigm :-) The libraries, on the other hand...
That's the most important part, imo. Your productivity skyrockets when it's backed by motivation.
Yes, that I do agree with. Unfortunately not everyone is (or even can be) in that situation.
