On the other hand, having to look up relevant source code on a computer"fillings"
instead of reading from a book kind of defeats the purpose, why not have a
pdf then? If I'm reading a programming book, I'd rather have the
than not, especially since I don't usually read in front of my computer.If
code is included, I can always skip reading them if I don't want to, so
besides weight, there's no disadvantage to including code and a definite
advantage.
If I understand correctly, he do use some small amount of code, but only
where it is indeed needed. Using too mutch words and sourcecode to explain
simple things are a waste of space. If you want more information about the
book, talk to Hallvard. He's read it. I have read the free chapters, and are
waiting for the book to arrive by mail.
