Well put - there's no question that real source code examples are useful,
but this IMO still does not warrant long listings. For any given concise
point to be made, it should be possible to highlight the essential (pseudo)
code in half a page or less. But hey, I never tried writing a programming
book so I'll shut up now. :-)
