You believe that what is taught in schools determines what the
corporate world uses, and not the other way around?

Did it ever occur to you that the reason there are so many diehard
Delhi fans on the board (many 40 or over), is because they were using
Turbo Pascal in college and learned to love the product and the
company?

Don't be quick to discount the influence these tools have on people in
later life. Those guys who were 20's then are in their 40's today, and
are in a position to set the rules for what tools are used.

I know for me, if I had not been required to use Turbo Pascal at
school in the 80's, I probably would not be using any Borland products
today.

Even though I bitch about Borland and Delhi and C++ Builder, those are
still the tools I want to use, even when Borland is intent on making
me use other tools.
