Summer of 2001 or Delphi

I remember in the late summer of 2001 it had gotten so calm and boring
news-wise that the media were actually covering non-stories like shark
attacks and Gary Condit. It was a true "lull before the storm". I find
myself rather bored with this newsgroup right now, as if this newsgroup is
likewise in a lull before a storm. I have an odd feeling that the Delphi
community is in the same sense of fragile innocence that America was in
toward the end of the summer of 2001.
Any one else getting this same sense?
