Sorry, but it hasn't. You need to judge the price of a tool on what you win
with it and not just say xyz is too high. If xyz saves you xyz*2 money (and
TIME IS MONEY) it's already worth it. Not to speak of a better, in most cases
better maintenable and more stable product you'll have after that exercise.

In my role at home as a lone developer, the price is totally ridiculous. In my
role as someone in a corporate software development the price makes it unlikely
to pass muster with the bean-counters or those that approve expenses.
