Your post makes no sense whatsoever. No exceptions are ever "eaten" in
the sense of ignoring them or doing nothing with them. If the exception
is not something I explicitly expect and have written code to deal with
(e.g., a deadlock due to multi-user concurrency) I end the app and
restart it. Nothing is ever ignored.
