Sometimes, it's really not that important anyway.

Not a huge improvement IMNSHO. You thought you were eating a string
formatting error (or whatever) and instead hid an access violation
which corrupted the state of an object encapsulated elsewhere.


Obviously you have to have some skills to be an effective programmer. ;-)
Don't try to do everything in 1 function and do try to be careful.
