I hope you're just waiting for the divestiture. If DevCo can't make a
definitive statement/argument why it's advantageous to use non-MS tools
for .NET, then BDS is in trouble with their .NET strategy.

The standard is MS for .NET; unless there are compelling reasons to
break from that standard, no one will because there are compelling
reasons to use the standard toolset.
