I have no problem understanding why Borland "milked" Delphi in this stage
of Win32 software technology and finally decided to sell it. I do have a
problem though understanding how buying a "soon to be legacy" technology
could be profitable.
Easy, you lift it out of "soon to be legacy" status. There is nothing
inevitable whatsoever about movements in supply and demand.
