So, are you going to give Nick a chance to send you a copy of the trial?
Or do you just want to rant?
Ok, let's be frank. I already own BDS2006. I actually wanted JBuilder, and
I am aware that I posted to a Delphi ng, but I don't hang around the jbldr
groups and it's all the same user website/user experience anyway. I already
downloaded the Sun Java Studio Enterprise edition, which is now free (was
$1895). I need to build a java/soap webservice client /tonight/ for a
prospect to run /tomorrow/. Can't wait around. [I do own JBuilder from a
few years back, but it needed updating, and I certainly wouldn't trust it's
wsdl/proxyclient/SOAP stuff after this many years.]
RHR, it seems like you've been frustrated a lot lately, but it almost
seems like you just want to change the topic and rant some more any time
someone tries to help you.
You're really getting a reputation here. :)
To be frank again, I really don't care. At all. And if you think that what
I replied to Nick was a rant, email me and I'll send you the names of some
good shrinks in your area. If there is an honest way to be nicer than my
reply to Nick, let me know how in the next post.
There's a lot to improve with the BDN website, but IMHO there have been
a lot of changes for the better recently, and I'm expecting to see even
more once DevCo takes off on its own. You might want to focus on a few
things about the website that bug you the most, and discuss them at
borland.public.bdn.website
One thing I know is that if people never bother to tell you how crappy
something you sell/do is, you will never get good enough. So don't start on
that defensive "works for us, you're a troll" crap. Been there, been told
that. Not interested. I just did DevCo a favor, so don't diss me for it.
