If Borland's system thinks you used up your allotment of re-installs,
installing on a different laptop won't help. Obviously the web site
should've worked, and there is always argument over the whole issue of
registration, but from other posts over the years it seems getting this
fixed over the phone has been a relatively painless experience for most,
if not all. I would recommend just giving them a call and they will up
your limit.
I think this is a good "balance". Allow 'x' installs and if you need more,
a phone call can up the limit. I'm still using D7, have installed it on a
few laptops and a few home machines, because D7 seems to have a longer
useful life than my hardware ;)
Haven't hit the 'limit' yet, but will probably be close if I have to install
on another PC. Don't mind a phone call to 'explain' at all.
