Probably right.

so the choice isn't as easy as you make it look like, if you are only
interested in 1 personality.

Whether a person is only interested in one personality /right now/ may not
be the determinant. Thinking ahead, can you be sure you'll still only be
interested in one personality a couple of years from now when it comes time
to update again? Buying back up into the BDS line from Turbo then could be
more expensive.
