But future upgrades will most likely be cheaper for Turbo Pro than
for BDS Pro,

Probably right.

So Turbo 07 will have an Upgrade price. What will be the qualifying
products please?

I suspect the answer will be Turbo 06. i.e. no upgrade path from BDS.

Since that level of selectivity will be possible then, why not apply
that now for non-BDS users wishing to upgrade to Turbo?

The biggest fear seems to be that current BDS users will downgrade to
Turbo (Hint: if that's twhat they want to do doesn't that tell you
something about the nature of BDS?).

But if DevCo will offer Turbo->Turbo upgrades only in the future, there
no reason why they couldn't offer Delphi (i.e. NOT BDS) -> Turbo
upgrades NOW.

Buying back up into the BDS line from Turbo then could be
more expensive.

Then more fool me/they/us. But why does DevCo suddenly care about
costing me more money than I had to spend in _this_ particular scenario?

A little more concern NOW would be appreciated.
