Another problem that Borland have is that
a) They must provide help that works on computers without internet access
b) Their help must be extendable by third party components.

I think that Devco should use online help very much like PHP.

Why not build their own help system that integrates with Delphi apps and
works beautifully, both for Borland and for us in our apps?

I find the current Windows help arcane in many respects.

Borland would be in a position to, and well served by, building a help
system from the ground up.

I guess their problem is that they then can't import all the .net help
easily, and woul dhave to go and document it themselves. Which would mean
they'd provide some good .net documentation, like the old (pre BDS) Delphi
documentation ;)
