Tom,
Three answers:
1. There is no fix
2. Use the Help from an old version eg: Delphi 7
3. Use Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 instead.
I used D2006 and do not have this issue. I press F1 and
I get Help on the topic with only a tiny number of
exceptions. So, obviously there is at least one configuration
(and likely more) where this isn't an issue.
Thus, with #1, there is at least one fix. Reinstalling the
application to match a configuration should work.
Also, presumably there is also a reason why the OP's
install does not work.
My questions/recommendations:
a) Did the help system every work on your installation?
If so, then try figuring out what may have changed since.
b) Uninstall/Reinstall. Hassle, but possible.
c) Install it on another machine. Switch machines.
Some other smart folks might be able to find out what
is different about the machines.
Since there is at least one fix to the issue, #2 and #3 are
definitely not required.
Thanks,
Brett
