But I was a bit confused about the keeping the 3rd party component
installs separate since I know that D2006 DPK and component installs
function a bit differently than how it was done in D7.
For my own code/projects, I don't have any that is in use with both D7
and D2006. I'm wrapping up an old program in D7, and my new projects
are in D2006, but they are kept quite separate.
For third party utils, I use numerous DevEx products, which are
installed in both IDEs. I also have ReportBuilder installed in both,
buthave not yet used it extensively in either. Perhaps these are
unusually well designed libraries (no 'perhaps' about it :-) but I've
experienced no problems with either.
