I agree that the base 2006 IDE has lots more productivity features
than the base D7 IDE. However, with the addition of Castalia,
GExperts and a few choice other IDE enhancements (JEDI Code Formatter
and VSSConnexion come to mind) I have most of the enhancements now.

I tried the BDS 2006 Trial when it came out in January and I have
both Turbo Delphi Explorer and Turbo Delphi.net Explorer installed on
my computer now. All three are fine products. The DTG team has done a
fine job on bringing the product back from the brink of death. I've
even been playing with .net in my spare time to try and see what all
the hoopla is about (I still haven't found it, btw). It's just that
*for me*, there is no imperative to upgrade to BDS 2006 or migrate to
Turbo Delphi.

You may ask: "Then why did you upgrade to D2005 then?" Good question.
My answer is "Blind Faith". Every time before when I upgraded my
Turbo Pascal or Delphi, I had not been disappointed. My eyes were
opened very shortly after D2005.

Thanks for that. Excellent. No doubt that D2005 is a cloud that will
hang over us for a while. I'd also like to think that it has been
shown very well that we intended to make sure that we don't do that
again. The radical notion surround certain events you may have heard
about should also be a testament to a continued commitment to that.
