There's two sides to the coin. First, people may and do misunderstand

This isnt a misunderstanding. I've been with Delphi since 1.0. I'd say
that I understand it.
The databinding/dataset stuff in Delphi for ADO.NET is just flat out
missing huge essential pieces - period. Its not a matter of philosophy.
Building a car with out turn signals is philosophy. Building a car with
everything needed for a turn signal but then forgetting to build in the
button/stick for the user to activate them is not philosophy.
For instance, Delphi for .Net is completely CLR compliant, but for
whatever ever reasons -- fair or unfair -- it isn't perceived that
way. Well, perhaps we need to do something to alter that perception.
Becuase while it speaks gramatically correct CLR - its speaks it in
such a way as a Cockney person does speak grammatically correct
English. It has such a heavy accent and uses odd words. Many English
speaking people have a better chance of understanding German than they
do a Cockney.
Okay, here's a question. What don't you like about the way C#
implements namespaces? Surely they aren't perfect. ;-)
Actually I'm fine with them. I didnt enter the namespace argument other
than to point out why C# had such a feature.
However if you are asking my opinion - you need to keep what Delphi
has, its easy. But add a namespace clause to override. Especially when
creating something like Indy, the 1:1 was detrimental as it made each
and every using clause in C# huge and again was another "Accent" in the
language, one that was forced and not appreciated in all cicurmstances.
Also any change of filenames has EXTERNAL impact which is bad.
Filenames are internal and should not affect output in the assembly
IMO. If it does, it should be optional behaviour which it is not now.
