I'm fairly confident that our definitions of listening are the same.
I'm just not convinced that your reply to this post indicates that you
are actually doing it.

But discussing the definition of listening is a distraction. Perhaps I
should rephrase that first sentence to a point where you find no
objection with it, or perhaps you should just disregard it completely so
you can actually address the substance of my original message.
