Re: Stop the negativism!

Nick,

I couldn't agree more. I'm in complete agreement. In fact, I'm in so
much agreement, that I've been acting on this stuff /well before/ you
ever said a word about it here. (I'll set aside the fact that your 90%
number is pretty much made up....)

That's good to hear. But please remember: In all the recent feedback
flows to you (let's take your blog post as an example), the maximum
response you gave to your customers after deleting all of the 40 pages
of comments they put energy into writing them was, that you said
you were "listening".

I think what many are indeed expecting is a clear announcement to all
of your customers that you will now start *acting* on their demands.

That's the thing, Simon. You haven't ever contacted me or discussed
this with me in any way, shape or form, so you haven't got the
slightest clue about the action being taken with regard to the issues
at hand. You could have discussed this with me and David I privately,
but you chose not too.

Nick, this is very very unfair. You know that due to the NDA I've
undersigned, I'm not able to defend myself on this topic.

This is NOT true. During the last *4* years, I've put a tremendous
amount of well-researched information through those private channels.
Nothing of this ever got a response.

As I can't defend myself here, let's please move this part of the discussion
to the BTP newsgroup, where I have replied to this already.

I'd even more prefer however to get feedback from your side on the
roadmap itself - discussing which numbers you think are made up or
invalid might be interesting, even more interesting would be your
opinion to the big picture outlined.

Or, to sum this up:

Nick, in direct comparsion, without implying that you are working
on unannounced changes to the communicated roadmap - which roadmap do
you think is better for DevCo and your customers - your current public one,
or the one I've proposed?

Simon
