Certainly, the level it has been discussed at to date is far too
shallow. Is DTG really thinking the same this as what people who want
the feature are thinking about? Possibly not. You might be
over-achieving.
I suspect this is sometimes true - it is a trap I've fallen into myself in
the past. It is a classic problem for software designers - we being the
perfectionists that we are.
DTG might resist implementing a feature because they are aiming for a 100%
solution whereas it might be the case that 90% of the potential users would
be happy with a 10% solution.
I can perceive that a 100% Unicode solution for all supported platforms
might be a mammoth task. Before we can even discuss the implementation of a
'Unicode Delphi' we need to unambiguously define the beast.
