I'm just curious, can you detail what some of those would be?
Obviously, two update packs plus another nine hot fixes (bundled into a hot fix pack) aren't enough. And I'm pretty sure everything was less than a year after RTM.
There are some SERIOUS quality issues fixed since it RTMed.
Also, there are hotfixes available for individual issues instead of waiting to bundle everything into an update pack. This is a SIGNIFICANT change from recent years, specifically in regard to BDS 2006.
AND, we will NOT see a 2007 release in Q4 of 2006, regardless of readiness, just because Borland wants to see the revenue on the books for Q4! (I have no confirmation this has occurred in the past, just my observation.)
I, for one, have seen concrete demonstration of the efforts to fix the quality issues in BDS 2006. And I say Thank You!
(I'm also very confident that this effort will not stop with BDS 2007, primarily because DTG realizes the impact it would have.)
