Aha, here is your problem then! The PowerPC Mac mini was severely
underpowered. The Intel Mac's run rings around the ols PowerPC ones. Added
bonus - you can still run Windows should you wish to!



Exactly. I have an iMac Intel Core Duo, 2GB ram, and I run XP almost
exclusively. This machine + XP is a beast, never crashes. It is actually
quite amazing. I now think XP must be a very good OS, whereas with my IBM
with P4 @ 3.x GHz, crashing once overy 2 days, I thought XP was an unstable
piece of crap compared to OSX. There is something to be said for having
decent hardware.

The 20inch monitor is very nice also. Give up your MacMini, and go for a new
Intel based Mac.
