Make sure your linux guest belongs to the same domain/workgroup
and shared folders should work. Just use smb url to access it in Nautilus.

Hi,

Perhaps you could help with a question here. I have been using VMWare
player to Suse Linux as a guest on Windows. I could find no obvious way
to copy files in and out of the Linux guest. The best way I could find
was using a USB flash memory. The USB could enabled/disabled when I
change into and out of the Linux guest.
Is there a better way? Network drive? Separate partition with FAT32? Is
there an easy way with the normal paid VMWare?
Everything based TCP/IP should work:
* ftp (http?)
* scp / sftp
* Samba / NFS
I don't actually know whether the shared folders work with Linux guests (I
know it works with Linux hosts), if yes, that would be another option.
