Oh, it has its place.
People who are uncomfortable with computers, want the nicest
presentation they can get, look at unix, it was developed way back by
developers for developers.. hence it was command line where you could
do huge amounts from a single, allbeit huge, command which was many
commands mushed together.
Depending on what you're doing sometimes you want it to look nice..
othertimes you want it to just get on and do it.
