Yep, the system requirements of WPF and Vista are the most
annoying things.

Well, it's obviously not a system *requirement*, else the app wouldn't run at all - it does. To expect highly complex graphics app to leverage hardware you simply don't have is silly.

if you don't have the a GPU good enough to do the hardware rendering, what would you *expect* WPF to do, other then fall back to CPU (and use more CPU, consequently)? Should it upgrade your hardware /for/ you? ;P
